It is a text document. The language is called "Rocks", its motto "Something to REALLY throw at your computer. The syntax and structure of the language is essentially unique, but it borrows from C, Ada and Eiffel. The biggest recent change to the language (post v0.3) was the extensive re-organisation of the OO facilities. I believe it now provides a language that: (a) Supports a superset of the OO paradigm, yet: (b) Does so in such a way as to not compromise the OO features. (c) Cannot be reasonably described as a hybrid language. IMHO, Ada95 (a great language) does not truly achieve requirement (b). I don't want to clutter this message by describing my reasoning, however. ---------------------------------------------- Morgan Palaeo Associates Palynological/Petroleum Geological Consultants Postal Address: Box 161, Maitland, South Australia 5573 Deliveries: 1 Shannon Tce, Maitland, South Australia 5573 Phone: (08) 8832 2795 Fax: (08) 8832 2798
