Submission of a Customer Profile Statement describing the Ada 95 initiative and government points of contacts will be used to judge acceptance. Until the level of GNAT maintenance support demand is identified, at this time, the AJPO contemplates furnishing support licenses for up to 3 programmers per project. Ada Core Technologies requires support licenses for all persons on the project who author or modify Ada source code that will be passed through the Ada compiler. To request a free allocation from the AJPO send the following information to Gary Shupe at mailto:shupeg@ncr.disa.mil or U.S. mail at Center For Computer Systems Engineering, Code JEXH, Attention: Gary Shupe, 5600 Columbia Pike, Falls Church, VA 22041-2717. 1. A fundamental element of Factory 2001's operating environment is the DOD's formation of the Common Operating Environment (COE). The COE is the source of ingredients from which Factory 2001 builds its software--sort of a repository of repositories. The COE contains the Factory's software engineering environment (SEE). The SEE is the repository of tools to build software. The COE also contains the definitions and training materials for each component of the standard software engineering process. The COE concept is catching on within the DOD and will expedite the enabling of Factory 2001.
