Tom, your attempt to use bogus statistics (I won't even bother to analyze them in detail here) to cover up a basic mistake is instructive. I will point my students to this as an example of how statistics can be used to obfuscate :-) The fundamental fact remains that under the only reasonable assumption which is that added text is approximately constant, the effect of quoting all previous messages adds a quadratic effect, not an exponential effect.
