The basic problem with 'C' is that it's too loose for a horde of average programmers to use safely. What's wrong with Modula-2? As near as I can tell it has all the advantages of ADA, and few of the disadvantages. That's my main objection to the language: it's in use dispite the existence of a superior alternative. I, of course, will continue to use 'C'. I flatter myself that I am a better than average programmer.
