I'd say this thread has pretty much degenerated to namecalling and speciousness...let me expand on that... Let's get something straight: NASA sin't entirely populated with rocket scientists. It's staffed with students, engineers, administrators, and technicians of various skill levels. It is ENTIRELY likely the original poster, 1) Was using the wrong manual (Ada 83 instead of Ada 95), 2) Didn't want to bother looking it up in the reference manual, or 3) Was looking for additional help beyond the fact that Sqrt obviously exists in the RM. Never, in a million years, would I presume, because one person had trouble finding "Sqrt" in a comprehensive index, that a language was "in trouble". You have made a horrendous leap of logic (several times, I might add), and it's clear you insist on shaping your opinions as fact. Please drop this thread.
