I did an inventory today during my weekly pilgrimage to Barnes & Noble here in the DFW area. Java books outnumber C++ books by a 2:1 ratio! Visual Basic is on par with C++. Other "esoteric" languages: LISP, Ada 95, Smalltalk, etc. are few and far between. About the only thing one can judge from their inventory is what is selling, not what language is better (or worse!). I could quickly judge that COBOL is a dead language, based on the two books I saw there. I'd hardly call COBOL dead! -- Visit the Ada 95 Booch Components Homepage: www.ocsystems.com/booch This is not your father's Ada -- lglwww.epfl.ch/Ada
