Just a side note, I've been watching this thread as an interested student of computer science who knows C++ but currently has an internship with a DoD contractor doing Ada coding. As far as MI goes, you're invited to check out a paper I wrote for my OOP class which discusses MI. I found it to be an interesting topics and I welcome comments both on the subject and the paper.
