IIRC, they suggested that another support business could form
around GMGPL GNAT or FSF GNAT.

Comeaucomputing manages to produce a fine C++ compiler
that uses another platform (C) compiler to produce
executables.  Maybe there's an idea.

Duncan Sands had once started to combine GNAT and LLVM.
