The CEO might be up to something quite interesting. (It is perhaps worth noting that he seems to have co-authored a book, transliterated: The Google Economy, 3839130611.) USENET and its contemporary successors is proof that electronic communication and studying communication can be worthwhile, all the more when it is focused. Communication in all forms and manifestations, that is. Add the Facebook idea for social information; add the value of good---because focused---search results; add the value of archiving (this will be backup as well); add the platform for the collaboration of teams, public as well as private; add the value of services on top of focused communication networks in general (advertising, job market, profiling; also outsourcing of IT infrastructure...) Be impressed by the CEO's track record: educated in IT, he appears a knowledgeable consultant, specifically in telecommunications, media, and metamanagement. BTW, Meerbusch is a nice little place, well situated in the vicinity of larger cities, and rumored to harbor the highest density of millionaires. ;-) Interesting!
