What about the Gimp prebuilt Gtk+ shared libraries on Windows? I'm using Gimp and I have yet to see it crashes. Looks like the Gtk+ port to Windows is not in a bad shape. GPS is also quite stable on Windows and is coming with the shared Gtk+ libraries.
