No. It sounds to me like you are arguing for an encryption/decryption package. Then you could add use of it on certian keys as an option. That might be a good discussion, but something as involved as encryption wouldn't belong in a config file package. Or are you just talking about "password" type data? Most OS's have special calls to deal with that type of data. I suppose it would be possible to write some kind of one-way encoding function in Ada.
