Many people had the vision of slowly increasing this library's scope to include much more than just components. The process is currently stalled a bit, and I have to take pretty much full blame for that. But you and anyone else interested may want to keep an eye on this site: http://savannah.gnu.org/projects/grace/ Which is the home I'm trying to set up for the project. There's nothing up there right now but 2 mailing lists, but I'm pretty close to posting the main webpage and the list package should follow closely. Once I get the basics set up, I can add administrators other than myself, and one person will no longer be the bottleneck (which will be a good thing, as I also have a new baby due in less than a week). >From what I see on the website you posted, are goals are almost entirely in agreement. But I've been known to misread things. :-) I'm particularly in agreement with your "release early, release often" point. There was a trememdous amount of interest in this project a few months ago when we were making freqeunt source proposals and revisions for the list package, and I'd like to see us get back to that as soon as possible. -- T.E.D.
