I would like to us the READ_STRING procedure to read a line of text typed in by the user. Normally the text line entry is terminated by pressing the [RETURN] key. I would also like to have the entry terminated by pressing the Up or Down Arrow Keys. I assume this must be possible with the 'Terminator-Set' or 'Terminator-String' arguments of the READ_STRING procedure, but I just can't get it to work. Does anybody have any ideas? Or maybe done this before using another method? The reason why I want this, is I'm trying to build a FORMS entry routine with a number of fields. Pressing the arrow key would move you to the next field in that direction. Maybe there is already a package available to do this out there? If so, could you please tell me where, so I don't have to re-invent this stuff. If possible could you reply to my e-mail address: russell@mda.ca I don't get on usenet very often. Thanks!
