Commercial chip companies pay to get gcc and g++ ported to their architecture and don't feel like they're paying homage to the late, great USSR. What Ada needs is what Borland did for C a long time ago. The bar is a lot higher now than it was back then, but what hasn't changed is the requirement that it be cheap. The $49 price back then was almost a throwaway price, and maybe the market would tolerate $100 price right now. rajat
