The activity of the PAL mirror sites at Walnut Creek CDROM and CNAM has already been subtracted from this figure. March 1995 marked the end of the first year of funding of the PAL by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). Don Reifer, Director of the Ada Joint Program Office in DISA, has renewed the PAL contract for another year. The total of the PAL activity to date (since June 1993, with the PAL mirror site activity already subtracted out): users from 2,396 organizations (world wide) - 170,176 files transferred The raw data and detailed reports on the PAL activity can be found in the directory userdocs/activity in the PAL. These figures include the activity by anonymous FTP, gopher, and the World Wide Web from the main PAL site at wuarchive.wustl.edu and the activity by anonymous FTP from the PAL mirror sites at ftp.cdrom.com and ftp.cnam.fr. It does not include activity by archie, FTP mail, remote NFS mounts, CDROM sales, and other access mechanisms. Thank you for your interest and support of the PAL!
