Sorry if this is a FAQ for comp.lang.ada (my site doesn't get it, I'm coming from comp.object), but: What is the general stance on GC in Ada? I read the Ada '95 spec, and was somewhat pleased that it's at least an option, but but an optional feature that nobody implements hardly counts! I think I remember reading that Gnat doesn't support it (although there always is the Boehm collector)... How about some of the other compilers? Is GC generally viewed as a Good Thing in the Ada community, or not? (Please -- I'm not trying to start a GC flame war... I'm just curious what the *general* perception within the Ada community is). -- Bill Foote billf@quake.net Alameda, CA USA Smooth Cruising in bandwidth-hungry B+@mobiles ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~\_____ To a ward in AsylumNet
