Lauderdale, FL Date: 8 Feb 1995 17:48:59 GMT Organization: Harris CSD, Ft. Lauderdale, FL Message-ID: <3hb06b$87t@hawk.csd.harris.com> NNTP-Posting-Host: tawny.ssd.csd.harris.com Date: 1995-02-08T17:48:59+00:00 List-Id: The following announcement is adapted from a mailing sent to the ASISWG mailing list by Currie Colket, ASISWG Chair: The next meeting of the ASIS Working Group is scheduled from 6-8 March 1995 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It will be hosted by Harris Computer Systems Corporation. Our goals for this meeting will be to => 1. Finalize the approach for ASIS 95 2. Address the outstanding ASIS 83 Deferred Issues 3. Finalize the KINDS for ASIS 95 4. Plan for ASIS Special Ada Letters Issue These support the near-term goals of an implementable, viable interface of ASIS for Ada 95 compilers/environments and the longer-term goal of an ISO ASIS 95 standard. We need your input to insure the ASIS 95 interface adequately supports your requirements to maximize its value to your organization. In addition, there have been several good ideas circulated on the net which I would like to address. These include: 1. Implementation of ASIS on GNAT 2. Dan Ehrenfried's issue of unification between element nodes and compilation unit nodes (ASISWG email 1/1/95) 3. Dan Ehrenfried's issue of hierarchy versus flattening of nodes (ASISWG email 1/1/95) 4. Approach for standardization: stand alone standard versus a new annex to Ada95 5. Conformance Suite for ASIS 95 A formal agenda will be circulated prior to the meeting. If you would like to see additional items on the agenda, please send email to the ASISWG officers at => asiswg-officers@sw-eng.falls-church.va.us The meeting will start at 8:30 Monday 6 March and finish about noon on Wednesday 8 March. Dan Rittersdorf of Harris Computer Systems will be the point of contact. Please contact him and let him know you are coming. His coordinates are: Dan.Rittersdorf@mail.hcsc.com 178 Washington St Harris Computer Systems Sparta MI 49345 Ft. Lauderdale FL 33309 Ph: (616)887-5431 Miscellaneous travel information is included as an attachment. I look forward to seeing you in Fort Lauderdale! v/r Currie Colket Chairman, ASIS Working Group (703) 602-1483 colket@smtp-gw.spawar.navy.mil colket@sw-eng.falls-church.va.us As a note - The ASISWG meeting was originally scheduled for 6-7 February in order to minimize travel for several members who were going to Florida the previous week to support a different meeting. When that meeting was changed to a different week and the Ada Dual-Use Workshop was scheduled for 6-8 February, the ASISWG officers thought it would be wise to move the meeting to March.
