The "ammunition" analogy is pretty offputting to anyone who is
not a hard core military enthusiast.

All it does is remind people of Ada's link with the DOD.

( Just imagine how you would react if someone used 
"another aids infected needle used by a junkie" as a
synonym for a good point about a language. )
