I have prepared "A Cautious Guide to Installing AdaCore GNAT GPL on a Ubuntu Linux System" that takes up about 30 pages of very detailed, step-by-step instructions on how to do that. The document is a pdf file. I'm not sure how to make it available through this interface. I do not have my own web site, so I can't just provide a URL. I also need to check on making sure that the Debian package libc6-dev is installed. Except for that, I think things are in order, although there's enough software in the downloadable package to make assurance of correctness difficult to check. If I haven't made an error, it even looks like I've got the gps to work along with the other stuff. Bruce R. Barkstrom
