Where can I get the details of this Ada 200X proposal? Ada 200X (or Ada 200Y depending on who you ask) will be ready when it is ready. The end of this month is the closing date for unsolicited proposed changes. I think that the probable date is 2005 or 2006, but it will be ready when it is ready, and most compilers will probably implement the exentsions well before the standard is official. (Obviously there is no reason not to implement proposed added packages once they are stable. The interface proposal will probably take longer.) All of the existing extension/change proposals have been written up as AIs: http://www.ada-auth.org/ais.html At some point there will be an "official" list of the proposals being considered but I don't think that will happen before early 2004. -- Robert I.
