When the subject of Ada comes up in my conversations with the students, I am often surprised to learn that those students, while find Java to be more fun and easier to program, understand the importance of Ada in building dependable software for weapon systems. I wish more of our DoD contractors understood this as well as these students do. Oh, and NPS students typically take at least two quarters of C++, one Quarter of Java. Ada is a one quarter elective a small number of students take because they want to not because the must. Richard Riehle
