Yes, 'Thisisavariable' would be quite horrible. I find ThisIsAVariable harder to read than This_Is_A_Variable, and IMHO readability is much more important than coding speed (unless it's a 10 line noddy to be thrown away in an hour's time). As far as typing speed is concerned, I would have thaought that all the asterisks and plusses and curly brackets in C/C++/Java would be more of an issue...
