If all your identifiers start with some kind of noise, be it "a", "The_", or the Hungarian notation crap, it makes your code harder to read. As we all know, that is A Bad Thing. Writing "aFoobar" and "anApteryx" in a language that allows underlines in identifiers is unwise. An underline between words makes them easier to read than just a case difference.
