(Pratt & Whitney uses Ada for some of its commercial work, but that was because the military side demonstrated that it worked better.) My observation concerning job postings is that in just about any city or town in the US, you can usually find companies that are advertising for C/C++ programmers or Java programmers or a handful of other things. You just don't see anyone posting a need for Ada programmers in every location in the country. That's not to say that jobs don't exist - just to say you might be limited geographically.
