I think of it more as recognizing that full multiple inheritance never achieved "traction" in the programming language marketplace, but that multiple inheritance of interfaces has shown itself to have a good cost/benefit ratio. In any case, if you want to see the proposal, go to: http://www.ada-auth.org/~acats/ais.html and poke around for a recent AI on multiple inheritance of "abstract interface" types. Unfortunately, I don't know the number at the moment. The AI-SUMMARY.DOC file can be used to find out.
