OptiMusic is an Optical Music Recognition software. The input is the image of a standard notation provided by a scanner for example. The possible outputs include : - the writing of the corresponding MIDI file, - the direct music playing using MIDI messages with synchronized animation of the original image. The software runs under Windows (95, 98, NT) and re-uses Ada components such as WINDEX (Stephen Leake), SCL (Marin Condic), OS_SERVICES (Jean-Pierre Rosen). I've put the emphasis on the documentation, especially OMR techniques and Ada architecture, so that any one interested can reuse OptiMusic as a framework and extend it. Enjoy, -- Herv PS : This is cross-posted in comp.lang.ada and team-ada. Sorry for the duplication if any.
