The *primary* mission is to read the data and get it unpacked on the fly. If I get that far, the rest can wait for another answer. BTW: If in fact all of this falls under some kind of patent restrictions, that is O.K. by me. If someone had a package that did what I wanted it to do reliably, I'd be willing to pay for it. I've got to get this solved quickly, so spending a few bucks for someone's DLL (or whatever!) that provided the calls I need would make me happy. As it is, it looks like my only real answer is to either cobble someone else's badly written C code or roll my own. In the interest of expediency, I'm going to get cracking on that route.... :-( MDC -- ====================================================================== Marin David Condic - Quadrus Corporation - http://www.quadruscorp.com/ Send Replies To: m c o n d i c @ q u a d r u s c o r p . c o m Visit my web site at: http://www.mcondic.com/ "Take away the punchbowl just when the party gets going" -- William McChesney Martin, Former Fed chairman, explaining what a sound central bank must always do. ======================================================================
