So we have a manager making indefensible technical decisions, refusing to listen to his technical people, and abusing his power because his technical people managed to get something done well despite him. I suggest you hit him back where it counts: Take an Ada job elsewhere. He won't have anyone to translate his working Ada into non-working C++, and no one to maintain it if he decides to keep it.
