LockMart are building the X-35A and B, Boeing the X-32A and B (A = conventional takeoff and landing, B = Short Takeoff and Vertical Landing). It's reasonably safe to bet large portions of both aircraft's systems are in Ada. The fly-off should start mid-year IIRC, based on the result of that they'll downselect in 2001 to a single design concept to be developed into an operational aircraft due into service around 2010. -- David Gillon
