I do think that your efforts must have been pretty quiet, though; at least nobody I was speaking to at the time around the academic world knew about it. Perhaps some more concerted lobbying might have gotten the message across to AJPO or whoever it was you were speaking to. I suppose the vendors would have screamed bloody murder then, too.
