Your argument rests on an unstated assumption, which is that you have to be portable. Change that assumption, and your argument is refuted. Portability is an engineering decision. Different shops and different applications will make different choices. -- The political forces that try to eliminate evolution from science classrooms impose a narrow, sectarian doctrine on our educational systems.
