Sure, there are "official" jobs which are going to be mandated from on high to be in language XYZ (for a variety of good and bad reasons) but there are always sideline projects in which you can pretty much do what you like. Getting Ada into the sideline projects provides a means of getting it into the corporate culture - sort of victory by infiltration.
