I'd like to compare a software-based counter with 7-segment-output with a VHDL description of the same to provide a short introduction to VHDL by comparison to Ada. As I'm not familiar with Ada any more :( I would be grateful for a code snippet with an ISR doing some port-output that could in principal be compiled.
