Very interesting,

I imagine that OSS was an utopia at Oberon's times. It would be
interesting to know if today's conditions would make this more
feasible. Perhaps it would be great today ? 

Ah, nothing is new in this business ! Didn't Pascal have a Virtual
Machine too?
