In the beginning bookshelves where hardcoded in a syntax similar to wikipedia namespaces: Bookshelve:Book:Chapter So books had names like: Programming:Ada Programming:C++ Programming:C etc. pp. However this was not flexible enough - one book could not be on more the one bookshelves - hirachies of bookshelves are nor possible - hence it rule was dropped and special bookshelves where created: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Wikibooks:Science_bookshelf http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Wikibooks:Computer_science_bookshelf Note that "Wikibooks:" is a propper namespace (not a look alike) and no books - only bookshelves exists there. Under the new rule "Programming" is now one book and "Programming:C" is a chapter ;-) inside the "Programming" book. Also it is now suggested to use the "/" instead of ":" to seperate chapters. Anyway voting is over and the new name is "Ada Programming". All pages have allready been moved: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Ada_Programming It might be noted that you can move a 100+ pages in an hour if have a browser with "middle click" and "tabbed browsing" ;-).
