Well, it is always fun to take Microsoft as an example. This one is particularly interesting. If you build your product using Visual C++ and decide to leave debugging enabled in the released product, you will find that you *cannot* distribute your product, because it now has dependencies on DLLs that you do not have the right to distribute.
