Given that I don't want to spend the time explaining my philosophical position on this (ie getting you guys up to speed with linguistics, etc.), I shouldn't have posted it. But I may say that your counter-example isn't a counter-example. One day, if you're interested, I'll try to describe something like this in terms that doesn't carry a whole lot of linguistic baggage.
