Working with aircraft? Are you interested in getting with an up and coming new aerospace company? FlightVisions, of Sugar Grove Illinois, maker of Heads Up Displays (HUDs) and avionics computers for commercial and military aircraft is seeking to hire more software engineers for embedded avionics software development. Our primary product is the FV-3000 Heads Up Display. This system consists of the optics assembly, an up front control panel, and a dual processor 68040 based system providing stroke on raster display of aircraft flight information. It is all designed, built and programmed by FlightVisions. Our product provides better performance at substantially lower cost than any of our big corporate competitors. We also have built and fielded FAA qualified commercial systems on a number of fixed and rotary wing aircraft. We are gearing up to do multifuntion displays and IRAD work on helmet mounted displays. We are a rapidly expanding and successful ten year old company with 35 employees doing $5,000,000 worth of business, presently producing HUDs for the Lockheed Martin Joint Strike Fighter prototype, the Czech Republic/Boeing North American L-159 trainer/fighter, and with a likely upgrade of the F-14 coming very soon. We need software engineers who have experience with 68040, C, VxWorks, Unix and realtime development. Experience as a pilot or other familiarity with aviation is a plus. Ada experience could be a plus, as we are considering transitioning to Ada95 in the future. Our offices are located at the Aurora Municipal Airport near Sugar Grove Illinois, about 40 miles west of Chicago. Our present group of seven software engineers all have 10+ years experience each. We offer a relaxed, professional, friendly and casual working environment with flexible schedules, minimal corporate management and very competitive compensation plans which can include shares in this new company. FlightVisions is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor of an up and coming aerospace company. If you are interested, please email, fax or mail us your cover letter and resume.
