Absolutely!. Most of Mathematics concerns issues other than computation.
In fact, huge chunks of Mathematics don't deal with numbers at all. 
Furher, numerical analysis is more of an engineering discipline that a
mathematical one. If I have a visual problem I want an Opthamologist; an
ear, nose and throat specialist won't do.
