I haven't had a chance to deal with Ada 95 yet, but if you browse the archives from AJPO on the Ada revision you will see a lot of problem areas in Ada 83, many of which have been fixed in Ada 95. Of course, new problems may have been introduced in the process, but I suspect that when I have a chance to use 95 that I will concluded that the language has been improved. Of course, there are profound disagreements as to whether specific features are indeed warts, and you must always consider the language in the context of the available alternatives. I submitted a large number of change requests during the refision process, for what I considered to be serious defects and omissions, yet I would far rather use Ada 83 than C. -- Shmuel (Seymour J.)
