Specifically, I am interested in any metric which can be used on a piece of Ada source code to provide some estimate of that code's potential for reuse. While I strongly suspect that such metrics, if they do exist, must be used with a great deal of caution, I would be interested in hearing about any such metrics. My chief interest is technology that is Ada specific. However, I would also like to hear about software reusability metrics in general, e.g.: 1. Metrics which determine the degree of reuse in an application, 2. Metrics which estimate cost savings based on reuse, 3. Actual case studies which verify or discredit such metrics. I would appreciate any pointers, war stories, opinions, case histories, etc. All material received will be digested and posted to this mailing list (unless otherwise indicated) during the second week of March. Please send all responses directly to me - not to the mailing list. -- Ed Berard EVB Software Engineering, Inc. 5320 Spectrum Drive Frederick, Maryland 21701 (301) 695-6960
