The S in SMART stands for Small! ARRRG! You are absolutely right, of course. Honestly, though. I'm pretty sure this restriction existed. If it wasn't Text_IO (which it couldn't have been) then it must have been the attribute. I'm about 2,000 miles away from the closest documentation set for that compiler that I know about, so the more I try to elaborate on this, the more likely I am to say something completly wrong.
