As this project is considerably large, we are looking for an appropriate implementation language. One possible candidate is Ada. As we have no experiences with this language, we are interested in all comments concerning good / bad experiences with the language, compilers, etc. The hardware we are working on are VAXstations 2000 under ULTRIX and Apollo Domain 3000 workstations running AEGIS. We are especially interested in experiences with Ada in combination with - Xwindows - databases such as Ingres or Oracle - expert system shells such as KEE or Nexpert Object. Thank You very much in advance.
