The developers were planning to use, "ANSI_TERM" in the UNIX-based environment (AIX/RS-6000). Now, a change in requirements may necessitate a similar capability on the 3090 mainframe, under MVS, driving 'dumb' 3278 terminals. A package that simply allows cursor control on the 3278 may work. They developers involved say that ISPF, and other tools available to them, do not allow two active panels. I am not sure how effectively this concurrency can be achieved/faked in a traditionally batch environment, but... Please let me know if anyone has developed such a tool, or knows of one.
