Nice words...so I'd like to provide my non-graphic $.02.

To me, the word 'Ada' strongly resembles the word 'Adi' which implies
words like: first, origin, beginning...which are, imho, quite befitting
the language, so the mascot should evoke such feelings.

Whether the owl is such a beast, I can't say, but the Wikipedia page
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Owl#Symbolism_and_mythology) gives some
interesting ideas in regard.
