An aquaintance of mine, who works at Raytheon, told me (about a year ago I think) that: 1) The ground-control portion (radars and such) of the Patriot system is written in Ada, but 2) The onboard flight control portion has always remained in Jovial. He also said that the company had proposed to re-write that portion in Ada, but the Air Force did not see any need to spend the money to do that. Perhaps Richard's information concerns portion 2.
