This shareware program runs on a PC (any version of Windows or DOS), with or without an Ada compiler. AdaTutor differs from other Ada tutorials in that it's written in Ada, and source code is included. Because Ada 83 source code is included, AdaTutor also runs on other computers with an Ada 83 or Ada 95 compiler (VAX mainframes, UNIX workstations, etc.) Some of the new features of ver. 4.00 are these: 1. We added a large amount of new Ada 95 material (Controlled Types, Stream I/O, Raise_Exception, etc.) 2. The tutorial text is now centered around Ada 95, with references to the differences in Ada 83, instead of the other way around. 3. We added pointers to useful Ada Web sites, such as www.adahome.com. 4. ANSI.SYS is no longer required! Windows NT users will be especially grateful, because installing ANSI.SYS is more complicated with NT than with Windows 3.1 and Windows 95/98. The program still lets you select colors. 5. The current screen number is now always visible. Please note that we don't expect shareware registrations from people who already know Ada and only evaluate AdaTutor. Most of the regulars on comp.lang.ada fall into that category. However, I would be honored if you would download the program and offer your comments. Shareware registrations are only for people who "use" AdaTutor to learn Ada. We now offer multi-user licenses for as few as 25 users. You can find further details and FAQs at our Web site. - John Herro Software Innovations Technology http://members.aol.com/AdaTutor ftp://members.aol.com/AdaTutor
