The Consortium's Affiliate program broadens the interaction between the Consortium and other organizations outside of its industrial member base, including universities and government agencies. DISA/CIM is the U.S. Defense Department's focal point for department-wide support in all information management activities. DISA/CIM initiatives include programs and activities in the areas of Ada language implementation, software reuse, process improvement, measurement, reengineering, and object-oriented technologies.
