I believe that a non-commercial interface to X would help to boost Ada's acceptance. Also, I would like to use it. Since I like Tcl/Tk, I would prefer a GNAT/Tk binding. Anyone know of any work in this area? For those of you in comp.lang.ada who are not familiar with Tcl/Tk: Tcl is a popular scripting language which has been extended in many ways, one of which is to support a very comprehensive X widget toolkit useful for many small X-based prototypes and applications. For those of you in comp.lang.tcl who are not familiar with GNAT: "The GNAT project at New York University is building a high-quality Ada9X compiler, to be distributed free and with sources, following the successul mechanisms established by the Free Software Foundation for the GCC compiler." -- from abstract of _The_GNAT_Project:_A_GNU-Ada9X_Compiler_. -- Terry J.
