Actually that isn't really the case.  PL/I brings in millions of dollars
for IBM every year.  The DoD does use PL/I but not to the extent of
COBOL or Ada.  PL/I is heavily used in the US, Europe and Asia.  PL/I
has been enhanced greatly to fit better with C/C++.

PL/I is succeeding!
